“The man who screams at a football game, but is distressed when he hears of a sinner weeping at the cross, and murmurs about the dangers of emotionalism, hardly merits intelligent respect.”

Yeh, when I saw it I just couldn't resist posting it here.
I think it has a bit of weight

I live in the Deep South where we take our football quite seriously.

Our oldest was 5 when we took her to her first big football game. At one point, our entire side of the stadium (including us) was on its feet screaming "DE-fense! DE-fense!" and she looked up at us, with a big smile, as if to say "Oh! I know this one," and started screaming right along: "JE-sus! JE-sus!"

I have thought of that so many times---how the entire stadium was quaking under the weight of so much emotion and, honestly, even a child could intuit that there was only one thing (or Person) deserving of that amount of passion.

heartafire, that is class! I'd love to be in such a crowd shouting praises with such intensity of emotion to Jesus, driven purely because everyone knows He's worth it.
Your daughter's example here is amazing!
