That's awesome Boaly!
I'm not poetic either so I have no idea what constitutes a good poem but in my opinion, yours is great!
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Peter, you're always an encouragement.
Thanks Boaly.
On that subject... someone told me recently that I have the gift of encouragement. It's not true though.
People with the gift of encouragement know what to say even in the difficult times. I NEVER know what to say.
I know I don't have the gift of encouragement but I also know that encouraging one another is an important part of Church life. So I try. I try to encourage people as often as I can.
If anyone reads this... you can do it too and it's amazing what just saying something nice to someone can do for their motivation, their drive, their self belief and their self worth.
Just don't lie. They'll see through it in a heartbeat!
So true Peter, brilliant advice! Thanks!
Sometimes it seems that when people don't have a certian gift they think they are excused from the pratice of it. Yet we are all called to do all of the gifts.
I used the iluustration (when i taught through the gifts a few years ago) that if someone comes to ask how they can be saved, we don't just turn and say, go see the evangelist, that's not my gift.
Or if a child asks its dad for food, they don't say 'well go see your mum, i dont have the gift of hospitality'
Rather we 'do' all the gifts, not just the prominent ones in our life. (if that makes sense)
This is beautiful.
Thanks for sharing with us.
