Why Would You Want To Be Offensive

0
I just saw a post on a Christian's facebook page with a picture that had obvious intent even without the text which read:

Facebook is deleting this image because it is offensive to #####. Everyone post this image right now. (#'s added by me)

I know that there are many groups around the world that we as Christians disagree with, and many people and groups find our message offensive. And it is an offensive message (Romans 9:33).

But that is not to say that we go out of our way to be offensive - in fact the Bible argues that we should try as much as possible to be peaceable with all men and that we "Give no offense to Jews or to Greeks or to the church of God..." (1 Cor 10:32)
How can we expect to win people for Christ if we are consistently going out of our way to rile them up and offend them.

The Bible's message will offend, but let's not jump too quickly on that 'share' button when it comes to images that are created with one cause; to annoy and offend.
