"Where Are You" - The Cry of God Through The Ages

0

But the LORD God called to the man and said to him, “Where are you?”
(Genesis 3:9 ESV)

God called out to Adam "Where are you?" and since then He has been calling the same thing to all of the human race.
Consider Paul's words in Acts 17:25-27

". . . he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything. And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us".

He determines our times and our places so that we may seek Him. How does this work for someone in a tribe with no one to tell, or for someone in another culture born into another religion? I don't really know - but here we have it.

God longs for us to seek Him, and He is not far from us.

"Where are you?"
