It was a privilege a few weeks ago to be capturing some of the moments at the Retirement Dinner for Rev David Mcllveen. To be honest it was easy to get caught up with the evening and forget why i was there.
It was plain to see that this man has left a mark on many (countless) lives and that those of his congregation and indeed the Christian Church (whether part of the same denomination or not) owe a debt of gratitude to Jesus for this mans labour in our country for the Gospel's sake.
Here he is with a man i got to know a bit when EHC was in East Belfast - i'm sure most Christians around that area know him as well.
There were many testimonies of how the LORD has used David over his years of service. Outstanding among these was a tribute written by a young lad who, for a school project on 'a person they admire' forsook the path of his classmates who wrote about Film, Sport & TV personalities - instead he wrote about his minister!
