If you live in the Lisburn area you have no doubt heard about the plans to close the A&E department at the Lagan Valley Hospital. Traveling to Belfast in the case of an emergency doesn't appeal to me that much, especially since A&E at the City hospital is closing as well, meaning a lot more people and longer waiting times at the Royal.
I saw via the Ulster Star Newspaper that there is an online petition against it's closing, and while i'm not sure how well petitions are weighed in the equation by those making these decisions it would do no harm to add signature to it.
Keep Lisburn A&E Open
