'Do This' or 'That' And Then...
I've read many statements or 'guide to' books telling me that if only the church would 'do this' or 'do that' then we'd see revival again. But i'm wondering if this is right.
Even recently i was in a conversation with a godly lady who said that we need to tear down the idols in our lives, live victorious above sin & obey the Bible; then and only then will we see revival.
'Do This' or 'That' Because...
But I'm convinced that our 'works' need to be because God is working in us to conform us to the image of Christ; not in order for God to work in us.
I'm convinced that we need Jesus to pour out His grace and fill us with. . . . . . well, namely with Himself. We need Him to revive us so that we can be vessels for His use; to quicken us unto Spiritual things so that we can live faithfully & victoriously in & through Him.
Next Step. . .
To be honest i'm not really sure what the next step from this is. It may be different for each of us or there may not be a step; we might have to rely on God to take that next step for us.
I guess we can only thirst, long, & seek Him for an out pouring of His Spirit upon us in revival power.
