I was chatting with Junior there and he was sharing a couple of thoughts from reading scripture, and I decided to post one here under the Random Ramblings label; conversations and discussions in which people say some great phrases, give some good advice, insight or just say something interesting that Unfortunately may be lost throughout the day.
Before this Random Rambling it may be an idea to bring to mind someone whom you struggle to get on with. (I'm using some poetic licence with this because I've a feeble mind and can't remember exactly what Junior said).
1 John 4:10-11
"In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another."
The christian brother or sister who you struggle to love has offended God more than they have offended you, yet God loved them and sent Jesus to die for them.
You have offended God more than that person has offended you, yet God loved you and sent Jesus to die for you.
If God loves his enemies and those who have deeply offended Him, to the extent that He sent his son to die or them, why then can we not love those who've not nearly offended us as much as God has been offended.
