Aids for Purity

A few days ago as part of the 'Bible texts for men' the texts were to do with sexual purity.
Part 5 (Proverbs 5:1-19) & Part 6 (Proverbs 7).

Today I was thinking of these texts and thought it may be good to expand on them by giving a few links or pieces of advice that may help us in our fight for holiness in this area.

Advice
Find a brother in Christ whom you trust deeply and talk to them, admitting, repenting, praying together and being accountable to them.

Get a group of similar minded guys from your church and meet regularly to study through such books as mentioned above as well as praying together for one another and for the other men in your church.

Another piece of advice would be to channel all the desires for sex into making yourself eligible and ready for marriage. That is the point in puberty etc... to cause you to prepare for marriage because that is where legitimate sex can take place. Only with a wife can we honour God in sexual intimacy so the natural desires for sex is a pointer to prepare for and seek out a wife.
