Some thoughts on a passage i hit this morning during my devotions (2 Corinthians 7:1)

Since we have these promises (2 Cor 6:16b-18), beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 7:1

The promises that drive us to cleanse ourselves and towards holiness are found in the previous verses:

He makes His dwelling among us, and walks with us.
He is our God.
He welcomes us.
He is our Father.
He is the Lord Almighty.
