How often i forget this! I come to the end of a day or week or month and wonder at the decline in my closeness with Christ only to realize that it corresponds to a decline in my commitment to read & study His Word.
I sometimes wonder if the Bible could be renamed "The idiot's Guide to Knowing God; Written By God"
How we approach devotions & study is the easy part - just grab a Bible (understanding it isn't that hard either since, if you're reading this, it's probably been translated into your language) - Doing it consistently, regularly and prayerfully; that's the hard part.
