I'm looking forward to 'Game of Thrones' starting on Sky Atlantic.
I don't know much about it other than a few ads on Sky's home page. This along with Sean Bean (i've been a fan since Sharpe - not in a gay-way) have intrigued my interest in this show.
Perhaps what most attracts me to this series is the awareness of my own Game of Thrones in which various contenders are battling for lordship of my heart.
- There's Jesus who i want to be seated continually there, ruling my life.
- There's my family. These are major contenders as i find myself usurping Christ (functionally if not positionally) in favour of the functional saviour of family.
- There's reputation and pride, lust and power, money and greed, and perhaps the worst enemy of them all . . .
- Me; so often i find that in rebellion i have sat in my Lord's place.
