Alive

'Alive' means to significant things to me today;

• We celebrate 1 year in the life of Faith, our daughter. It's been a fast year!
• We celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and our life in Him.

This is more significant than anything else because all grace to mankind comes as a result of the life, death & resurrection of Jesus.

What i mean is not just the salvation of men and women, boys and girls; but that rain, sun, food, drink, every breath, heartbeat, laughter, and blessing any person in this world has, whether they are saved or not has been bought for them by Christ.

With the entrance of sin into the human race we should have only wrath from God - but because of Christ mankind may have forbearance and patience for a season. Thankfully the cross accomplished more than forbearance from God, but accomplished the forgiveness of sins for those who believe; the adoption of the elect.


It's a day to celebrate life - Christ's life in eternity past, during His incarnation, His resurrection from the dead and His life now & forever as sovereign Lord over all. It's also a day to live, a day to live in His accomplishments and victories on out behalf. A day to live for His glory and His renown, enjoying Him as the source of life and joy.
