The Impact of Answered Prayer in the life of a 3 year old

Jake (age 3) prays every night for a very good friend of mine who is serving Jesus in missions. I was sharing this with my friend (via facebook chat) when he said for me to ask Jake to pray for a little girl in the jungle who had started having fits yesterday morning. After her family trekked to a clinic the girl was diagnosed with cerebral malaria and was critical.

Last night Jacob remembered (without prompting) to pray for her.

This morning i received an update telling me that she had responded incredibly well overnight to medication and is on her way home with a supply of medication.

When Jacob heard this his face lit up and with a huge smile he asked "are my prayers magic?" Told that they aren't but that Jesus hears prayers and can do 'magic/miracles' will, i pray, be a huge impact on his life.

I'm thankful that God was kind to this girl and her family, and that he gave affirmation to Jake of Christ's power through prayer.
