Sky News reports that same sex couples may soon have the option of marrying in a church if proposals are approved by the House of Commons.
In light of the recent case in which B&B owners were taken to court for denying a same sex couple to share a bed in their establishment, huge questions hover. If a same sex couple ask to be married in a church and the pastor refuses, will he be taken to court for sexual discrimination?
A few months ago I mentioned a post by Collin Hansen asking 4 pastor's opinions as to whether the church should separate its ceremony from the state's. Perhaps this is a discussion that will be coming our way in future months/years.
