N. Ireland Water Services, Emergency Supplies, Health Issues & People Helping Others

0
N. Ireland Water Services.
While we criticized the N. Ireland Water Services over the Christmas period, we should pause and give thanks for them. While our taps were dry, here's the thing; even with shortfalls they were out fixing pipes and working so that water could be restored to our homes.

Emergency Supplies.
While tankers of drinking water were available at many points throughout the province so that we could go get clean drinking water many in our world today don't even have that luxury.

Health Issues
While many in N.Ireland have smelt of BO, and had to rely upon others for drinking water, i did not hear of any deaths due to our water shortage. Yes it was a struggle, yes we hated it! But . . .
More than 1 billion people, in our world don't have clean drinking water and every 15 seconds a child dies due to water related diseases.

Helping Others
Many people were out around doors, giving water containers to elderly, and many families pulled together to help each other out. For thousands of people in our World today, this isn't even an option - friends, family and everyone else in their locality are in the same predicament as they are. There is no help!

We can continue to help by giving to charities that build wells, for example:
Living Water International
The Water Project

And that is just 2 examples. Just type 'build wells' into Google and see how many there are.
