Festival of Booths . . . Water & Blood

I was reading about the Jewish feast of booths. One of the things i read was how they would pour water and wine upon the alter, this would then run off, through a conduit into the Kidron brook.

I couldn't help but think of the water and blood (remembered by us through the wine of the Lord's table) which poured from the alter of Christ's offering. (John 19:34)
