"Let us know;
let us press on to know the LORD"
(Hosea 6:3 ESV)
That Hosea uses the term "press on" would indicate that knowing God is not necessarily easy, but that effort and endurance are required. Later (verse 6) 'knowledge of God' is counted as being better than sacrifice.
It is that big a deal!
