Is Jesus Enough When We Suffer?

0

". . . Others suffered mocking and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. They were stoned, they were sawn in two, they were killed with the sword. They went about in skins of sheep and goats, destitute, afflicted, mistreated — of whom the world was not worthy —wandering about in deserts and mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth."

Hebrews 11:36-38

We all know the previous verses in Hebrews 11 when God's people enforce justice, stop the mouth of lions, escape the sword . . . and basically kick the butt of their enemies, and all that stands in their way, by faith. Indeed this is where we all imagine ourselves to be and sometimes forget that God's people can, do, and will suffer many things.

What if you or i are the one's who get beaten, chained, cut in half, run through with a sword or made destitute?

Is Jesus enough for us even then?
