Fear
Jesus clearly tells us to fear someone in Matthew 10:28 when He says
". . . fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell."
Revelation 1:18 brings further clarity as to whom Jesus is talking about, declaring that it is non-other than Jesus who holds authority over death and hell. So it is Jesus (who is God) that we are to fear!
But what of this fear? Is it simply something we are commanded to do in order to please God?
