Revival

Almost every time i read titles like "What to do for a revival" or "10 steps to an easy revival" i cringe. You see most lists will look at what went on during revivals, and, taking these they will tell us to do them in order to hurry revival in our day. We are warned that if 'the church doesn't ___________ that revival will not come our way.'


I think that these lists miss something.
Most of the time, (not all) we forget that God sent revival and it was then that such things as holiness, seeking hard after Christ, unity, repentance, Christ saturated & effective Holy Ghost preaching etc . . . were awakened in the Church.


I am convinced that we need revival in order to do, rather than needing to do in order for revival.


However there is one thing we can do!
We can earnestly & humbly fall to our knees and ask beg with much pleading and tears that God would pour His Spirit upon us & revive us.
