New Tract for Brazil

5

Yesterday we began folding a new tract for Brazil.
Hopefully it won't be too long before there's another shipment from us to that vast country so that these can get into the hands of people there (specifically military guys) who need Jesus.

This is great---
I always love hearing about EHC.

Happy to hear it heartafire, i was just thinking of how posting about various EHC things helps me to feel excitement over it, sometimes familiarity can breed apathy.

That apathy could only be sent from the Dark One.
In the U.S. I think people are even more inclined to be overcome with the familiarity/contempt conundrum---it seems people are always seeking for the newest/best/freshest/edgiest/"now" thing--- and really when it comes down to it, nothing matters but the "old, old story."

I am so excited for what you do-- After reading the books you sent, there is no doubt in my mind that this is an amazing Godly ministry. I am encouraged every time I imagine the boxes of tracts and books being opened in some far-off country. I remember as a child being worried about all the people who lived in far-flung areas who might live their whole lives without ever getting to hear this amazing news.
I especially worried about Africa. Do you all send there---do you have tracts in Swahili?

As Samuel Adams said so well:
"This is the Lord’s work and it is marvellous in our eyes."
Forgot to add in my other post--I love the name! (You may remember that Sam Adams was not only one of our Founding Fathers, but there is an excellent beer by that name as well!)

We do send to most African countries & we do Swahili.

I remember when i visited Nigeria being told by a guy that he'd treked to remote villages & passing through one he was refused to preach by the chief, but he was allowed to leave a few copies of the Gospel of John (he'd got these from us).

A few months later he passed back through that village to find that they now had a sort of church. They had all come to Christ through the Word & now were trying to function as best they could from what they had seen in John's Gospel.

I remember 2 emotions hitting me:
1-wow, what a savior who works mightily through His Word.

2-sorrow that all they had was one book from the Bible. How could they possibly 'do church' from just that, how much they were missing of God's revealed Word.

But thankfully that guy had continued to return & teach them further so that they could grow further in faith & knowledge & love of Jesus.

I can't imagine having only one portion out of the Bible, but how much worse never to have any?

As the work continues to grow we are thankful that we can supply more, but really it's still merely a drop in the ocean! So many people are telling us that they need more.

But as we try to balance so many countries we cannot meet the great needs, merely try to pour as much as we can to all without neglecting any one country altogether.

Thanks for your continued prayer & support & the encouragement you bring to my own life heartafire
