Foxe's Book of Martyrs by John Foxe

Beginning with the story of Stephen from the book of Acts, considered the first Christian martyr, the drama builds to the passion of the early Church's persecution under the Roman Empire. The hardy and radical faith of those first believers spawned medieval missionary movements that spread the gospel across Europe and into England, Scotland, and Ireland. As the story continues, it places a significant emphasis on the sufferings of the early Protestants during the Reformation.

Thanks, Ive heard of this book before, apparently one of the most popular volumes in enlish literature for several centuries (after the KJV.) I look forward to listening to it. Oh prayed for 'Something is missing in Ireland', hope it's going well. Here in Canada we are doing something similar, called Mission 33 (33 million people in the country.) Still in the beginning stages ,but 100,000 homes reached since October.

Yeh, of what i've heard there are alot of responses to Something is Missing & the plans for follow up are kicking in soon.

Mission 33 sounds brilliant, i'll be praying for you guys doing that, so encouraged & appreciative of your prayer.

I read Foxe's Book of Martyrs about 9 years ago & found it to be very challenging.
