"Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
John 4:14
"Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’”
"Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’”
John 7:38
Drop
For most of us, I guess that we feel as though our lives are more of a drip than a spring welling up. Perhaps this may be because we block the flow by means that may not even be inherently sinful:
We clog ourselves up with cares of this world; our financial state; the label on our clothes; the type of car we drive; the size of our house; how we look; what do people think?
Also acting as a clog can be our leisure & pleasure. Those hobbies or places & things we use for entertainment such as TV, Film, Internet, music, magazines, sporting activities (as participant or fan).
The list of things could go on, cares of this life that we permit to take a primary position in our minds, lives & very souls. Things that consume us &/or distract us away from the source of this Water; Jesus, who says in the above text that it is He who gives this water.
So if we want our drip to increase into a flowing spring or river, lets seek after Christ & allow Him to take primary place as He immerses us in His Living Water.
