Yesterday Gary Bolton asked me to take a look at the folder he'd been running, it was going pretty wick & making a terrible sound.
So I had a quick look & then switched it on to hear the tell-tale & familiar sound of a worn out cog on the driving roller. The sound was what helped me to diagnose what was wrong with this folder.
A few weeks ago another *folder (the same type) was giving problems, & the sound this time told of a bearing that had gone & a shaft that had worn through, a sort of whirring & clicking sound from the place where this occurred.
These machines are now fixed & the constant 'tick, tick, tick' of tracts going through them is a great sign that all is well. But quite often a sound will alert us that there's problem with a machine & indeed bring attention to where that problem actually is.
We Are Similar
In similar ways the sounds we make tell about our own state of being. Our conversation, words, phrases we use & tones of voice are indications of our own being. Listen to what the Bible says:
"Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks"
Matthew 12:34
Self Diagnosis
So what do our own words (the sound that comes from our mouth) tell about our own hearts?
*Quick Tip: For the small Eurofold machines, it's a good idea to replace the plastic cogs with metal ones.
