I love John Piper's poem on Job. Tonight a phrase from it struck deeply into my own situation (some of you know we've hit a wall - thanks for your prayers). But in this phrase John Piper sums our hope up for us, neatly striking the chords in our heart, even as the background singers of suffering sing loudly.
"What we have lost God will restore –
That, and Himself, forevermore,
When he is finished with his art,
The silent worship of our heart"
