BBQ with old friends

We were invited to a barbeque on Saturday night with some friends. Now when I say friends, a few of these guys have been & are influencial in my walk with Christ. It was seeing the lives of these people as they took Jesus serious & as they broke what I thought was the Christian mould of being squares that played a huge part in my coming to Christ.

Many of us have headed in different paths, each one following Jesus, many to missions at home or away, but each one seeking to Him & the power of His resurection in thier lives.
It was great to gather together again and enjoy each others fellowship and to catch up. Although we left early due to the parental constraints of bringing a 16 month old we thouraghly enjoyed ourselves, and as I drove home I was telling Barbara how, although I wouldn't change where I now am in my life, yet I miss meeting with you guys on a weekly-often, nightly basis as many of us did.

Our lives can be filled with many seasons, our situations change & Jesus may lead in different directions, but its great to see that those guys & girls, who were part influence in my salvation are still walking strong in thier seeking of Christ.
