Freedom of Speech in Britian?

0
Recently two men were told by a police officer "you can't preach here, this is a Muslim area".

The incident happened as they were handing out Christian tracts on the corner of Ellesmere and Alum Rock Road on 19 February this year.
The PCSO told the Christians they were committing a hate crime by attempting to convert Muslims to Christianity and that he was going to take them to the police station.

Further details of this can be read at The Christian Institute.

This isn't a surprising or shocking event, though it may be an example of the future of evangelism in Britain. In an age where everyone has their rights it seems that Christians are losing theirs! And when we act out of love for our neighbours we are accused of hate crimes?

Lets pray that Jesus will work for His glory in Britain, that His people may rise up in love for our neighbours, concerned for their souls and tell them of the Gospel, the Good News about Jesus Christ.

It would be Ideal if Jesus was to raise up & redeem many of the poloticians, & work into this nation; He could do that!
But either way may we see Jesus draw many to Himself in faith, and ultimately may our primary concern be with His kingdom, rather than this temporal one we're currently sojourning in.

And may we increasingly desire to fulfill the greatest commandments

"'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' "This is the first and great commandment.
"And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself
.'"
