My sin, my imperfections, and so many more issues in me, distort that view of Christ that I, as a Christian am called to be. I am a pale reflection and often a blotchy mirror, blocking any clearer image of Jesus that might other-wise be seen.
But I do pray that even in my distorted way, you can see Jesus. He is perfect, He has no defect or distortion.
In fact He died so that I may have no spot nor blemish, so even in seeing my failures, I have hope that enables a pressing on toward perfection.
Ephesians 5:25-27
"Christ, also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. "
Lets press on toward perfection, striving to be holy as our God is holy.
