Book Review - Faith Like Potatoes

2
A brother in the Lord gave me a copy of this book, and I have to say, it was a great gift!
Angus Buchan gives in this book a testimony of God's mercy, grace, faithfulness and power.
At first I have to confess the title "Faith Like Potatoes" sort of made me think "what on earth", it seemed to me to be a silly title.
But after reading the book, that turned into "WHAT ON EARTH" as I read of God's power and faithfulness on display in this mans life and of the constant lessons of Faith that Angus was called to go through.

If you are after a modern day testimony that is pretty amazing, emotional in places and easy to read as well as one that will challenge you about your own faith in God's promises and of what He can do, then this may be a book for you to read. Time and time again there is a constant challenge to trust God in every situation no matter how good or bad they may be!

Angus was in our work a few years ago on an afternoon when I'd went home, but the next day many of the guys were talking about his visit, after reading this book I wish I'd been there to meet this brother.

Angus will be in N. Ireland to do a mission in Monkstown, Newtonabbey from 8th - 11th June '08. Check out the website for more information.

Hi, I came across your blog via google. You might find it of interest that an amazing film has being made based on the book. It is a South African produced movie and has done really well in South Africa (have to admit I am biased I work for the production company!). The interesting thing was that no distributor wanted to take the film on so as a production company we did it ourselves and the public response was amazing. It is one of SA’s highest selling DVDs.

The film has now been released in the UK by Verité CM Limited, if you go onto the website www.faithlikepotatoes.com you can see where the DVD can be brought from. It is amazing how the film and the book are touching people’s lives around the world. For a small production we are excited to see how God is inspiring people around the world with the film. Hope you guys get an opportunity to watch the film, let us know what you think about the film.

Thaks Peter, I must look out for the film. It is exciting to see what God is doing and I hope you guys see Him do much more in the future with this production and with others.
