What are you chatting about?

Luke 24:13-17
"Now behold, two of them were traveling that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was seven miles from Jerusalem.
And they talked together of all these things which had happened.
So it was, while they conversed and reasoned, that Jesus Himself drew near and went with them.
But their eyes were restrained, so that they did not know Him.
And He said to them, "What kind of conversation is this that you have with one another as you walk and are sad?""

As I read these verses I had a small thought;
If I was walking seven miles with a friend and a stranger approached what would he find me talking about? Perhaps I'd be discussing a TV series, film, game, my son or wife, job, cars, holiday plans; would our conversation be taken up with light matters that have no real importance?
Or would I answer;
"The things concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a Prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people"

The Scripture tells us that out of the abundance of the heart so the mouth speaks, so it follows that what fills our prime place of heart will hold prime position on our tongues.

What does our conversation show about what has captured our hearts and minds?
