I enjoy reading and after Christmas I hardly know where to start with the books that people graciously give me, so it was probably unnecessary for me to buy more books today, but I did.
Knowing that these books will probably await a later stage of the year before I get to them I thought I'd take a quick brows through them.
In The Great Gain of Godliness by Thomas Watson I found the following headings about how we know if we fear God.
o The fear of God will make a man fear sin
o He who fears God walks by rule rather than example
o He who fears God keeps His commandments
o He who fears God is good in the position where God has sent him
o He who fears God does not neglect family or closet prayer
o He who fears God will not oppress his neighbour
o He who fears God is given to works of mercy
o He who fears God would rather displease man than God
o The fear of God will make a man fear these six things; satan's snares, His own heart, death, judgment, hell, heaven
