I know that two of the three people who read this blog will have recieved the following email from Geoff Mcnabb.
For any who stumble upon this and don't know him; Geoff is doing his final year with New Tribes Mission in their missionary training as he follows the leading of Christ in heading off into far off places to make the Saviour known.

"Hi my Friends

This is just a quick note to say how thing are going

Well I survived and I loved it a great 4 days learning lots of new stuff like night walking without torches, setting traps, wild food, navigation, building shelters and lighting fires etc. although we did cheat a bit as we brought food in which did save us a bit of time and also saved me losing a bit of weight! It would have been difficult to do the course and hunt for food at the same time, but it did show me how simple you can really live with just a few bits and pieces.

Ignite - this week is the first week of ignite we had a BBQ and had several parents from the local village and a pile of kids about 90 in total this was a real answer to prayer as we made some great contacts with parents and kids. The Lord is amazing in his providence in giving us a great night. This is a youth club run on the base for the kids of the missionaries on campus and also the kids in the local area, I did it the last time I was here and I have to say it was quite a challenge as the kids are far from angels but we are called to preach the gospel to all the world and these kids desperately need Christ in their lives. Please pray for these kids that God would be preparing their hearts also that we as leaders would build up good friendships with them and show them Christ in us.

The work schedule is still not too hard to cope with but that has its disadvantages to as I work best with a wee bit of pressure, I’m finding it very hard to focus on my assignments at the minute, but I know that my master is always close, my ever present help in time of trouble so I know ill get their.

The classes we have at present are animism, Mk ed. (missionary kid education), field orientation, field leadership.

Its been a bit of a struggle for me just being sure 100% I'm supposed to be here but to day we had a missionary speak in chapel (where the whole school meets 3 times a week for worship and hear missionary reports). Speaking about how the people he was working with had recently heard the gospel and many of the people had heard and accepted Christ. Which was amazing but in that God really gave me a confirmation that this is where I need to be right now that there are so many lost people out there who need to hear the glorious Gospel which have so freely here. Also just knowing that it is only what is done for Christ that will last for all eternity that where I'm putting my focus right now on our eternal immortal King.

That’s all for now thanks for all your prayers

Your brother in Christ

Geoff"
