Guys helping children...?

0
Men, if you came across a young child that was lost or injured and in a state of panic and tears what would you do?
Would you comfort that child and try to help find its parents, perhaps bring them to the information desk of a shopping complex or the nearest police station?

Or

In today's society would you feel that you couldn't directly approach the child to help for fear of accusatory eyes or an actual accusation?

Tim Challis has a post on just this topic. Check it out here

I wonder if the shortage of male children's workers (Sunday School etc) is down to the fear that society seems to label any man who enjoys helping or working with children, even in church organizations and even after all the proper security checks, as a pervert?

It is a sad truth that we men have to hesitate or stop ourselves from helping children find their parents, if they're lost or find God because they are lost. Child abusers not only affect and ruin the lives of their victims but also affect all of society by bringing judgement on any male who may for the purist reasons seek to comfort and help needy kids.
