Internet - Part 1

Last year I brought a message at Dunamis concerning the internet. I'm going to post it in a few parts:

Leviticus 19;1-2
And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say to them: 'You shall be holy.... because that’s the Christian way! Be holy because that’s how society wants you, be holy because that’s what your denomination says!

The call for our holiness is nothing to do with us, its not because of any meetings we go to, not any church, holiness has nothing at all to do with laws passed in government or any social trends;

No it says be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy’.

God wants a people on the earth who will be holy, that’s why Jesus died; Eph 5;25
“Husbands love your wives as Christ loved the church and gave himself for her, that he might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that he might present her to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.”

Jesus died on the cross so that you and I could be holy and pure.

If you’re a Christian holiness is part of God’s calling on your life!

Look with me at Philippians 2;12-15

“Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, [The thought here is that your not just obeying and being a Christian in public, when your pastors around or when your at Dunamis or meetings like this but also in private, when you are with unbelieving friends or away from the Christian spotlight] work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;
[What Paul’s saying here is basically LIVE OUT THE CHRISTIAN LIFE, if you’re saved tonight well live out your salvation]

He goes on to say;
for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
Do all things without complaining and disputing,
And here’s the reason;
that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,”

Jesus is calling you tonight to be His people on planet Earth, to be blameless and harmless children of God without fault, SHINING as LIGHTS in a crooked and perverse generation.
And that’s the point tonight ! Shine forth as a light when you use the internet!
