"Now therefore mend your ways and your deeds, and obey the voice of the LORD your God, and the LORD will relent of the disaster that he has pronounced against you."

Repent
God's message has not changed one bit. It is a message of repentance. A call to turn away from sin and to God.
God's judgement, His righteous, holy wrath hangs over each one of us. We will stand before Him to be judged according to our deeds. Every one of us have sinned and therefore every one of us deserve to be separated from Him and punished.
How do we escape?
We turn from our deeds and obey the voice of God.
But what is the voice of God?
The Bible is the Word of God to you and to me. It is in it where we can find God's message. It is in it by which we learn of Jesus who left heaven, lived a holy life and died on our behalf, taking God's wrath over our sins upon himself, and who rose again, from the dead having conquered satan, sin and death for us.
The Bible is clear in its message that salvation, pardon from God's wrath is only through faith in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. His propitiation is the means by which God accepts us as children. By which our sins are forgiven and we may escape the coming disaster.
