I have absolutely grasped onto systematic and chronological teaching. I believe that it is important to see the whole picture of God's Story as told by Him in the Bible, and not just fragments here and there.
Often when it has come to Children Bibles i've found them to be simply a book of stories, having no real thread connecting them.
However . . . dun dun dunnnn . . . The Big Picture Story Bible entered our home.
I'd heard of this book through Albert Mohler's review quite some time ago & though filed at the back of my mind it seemed to fall out one day as i browsed Amazon and came across it. After reading more reviews it was promptly ordered.
I unwaveringly recommend the Big Picture Story Bible to fellow parents of, even young children as a means to help them grasp the constant redemptive theme of the Scriptures. It doesn't shy away from dealing with death, punishment or sacrifice.
For a great review of this book visit Kingdom People. I absolutely second everything Trevin Wax says about it.
On a sort of negative note a friend who had this Bible for their kids found the binding to be of poor quality and theirs fell apart. However they have considered buying a new one - so i guess that is a recommendation of sorts!
