One of my primary purposes in blogging & tweeting is 'me'. I enjoy it!
As I work my machine, i enjoy listening sermons, reading or just thinking. This overflows into my blog or into short tweets on Twitter.
However, i would be lying if i said i didn't want others to benefit from this, so i have to take the opinions of others into consideration. Hence i decided to separate my Twitter from my Facebook, as my tweets were clogging up my friends' updates, meaning they couldn't see the updates from others.
Another criticism
One more criticism was that i had too much time on my hands.
This i both agree with & disagree with. In the natural rythm of running my machine there can be a short gap of time. This is when i type, write, read etc. But the directors of the work are happy with my performance on the machine & content for me to continue in using the internet. As i write this the folder is at 34,000 sheets per hour & is at its top speed.
So yes, I do have a bit of time as i run my machine; time which i try to make the most of as i work.
My use of Twitter is much like a notebook in which i jot down short points, phrases & links etc from throughout my day, & from many places. Much like the little notes Jonathan Edwards would write as he went about his days work, though mine are obviously like kindergarten stuff in comparison.
End Result
The end result of this is that hopefully i won't be a source of annoyance to my friends on Facebook. I can still enjoy Twitter to my hearts content, & anyone wishing to read my updates can do so either on Twitter or in the right-hand column on my blog.
*If, after this, anyone still feels that there's too many updates, i suggest they delete me from their friends list on Facebook! I will honestly understand the reason for this & will by no means feel any different about you.
Update
@kievia & @supersimbo told me about a selective Twitter application that only feeds chosen updates with the hash tag '#fb' into facebook so i'll use this.
