How Do You Carry Your Bible?

2

I was reading a blog post on 'From Preacherpen's Desk' about how to carry your Bible, this is definitely a question that i have considered before. There have been times when i've put my Bible in my bag along with other books & my lunch etc, but it always feels like a bit of a risk & there have been times when pages have been crumpled.

Now with a new Allan's Goatskin Leather Bound ESV i really don't want to risk unnecessary damage, so although there are times it goes in, i generally tend to carry it in my hand.

Some people opt for those weird over-sized case thingys, but personally i really don't like them.
I know that you can buy bags (yes, even trendy ones), as well as some brief cases with specially designed pockets for holding Bibles separately. But these are often quite expensive, and i'm still not sure about the bags, or how to get away with carrying a case.

Personally i feel that a Bible is not supposed to stay in mint condition, although there's no need for recklessness, it is a book to be used. And sometimes a well-worn, battle scarred Bible speaks volumes to both our own memories & those who see it.
So i'm going for the option of carrying it in my hand, yeh i risk a bit of damage but i think it's well enough made to endure even beyond my lifetime. Besides why cover it up?

I just carry mine, or pop it in my hand bag if it fits in.

I have a brother-in-law who has a vaguely pocket sized one which he ALWAYS carries in his back pocket.

It's crumpled and the spine is broken but it's well used and readily available.

I carry mine in my phone.
