As I went through high school my I tended to neglect my homework etc in order to read fiction. Most prominent in my reading at that point was the series of books by Bernard Cornwell on Richard Sharpe.
Since then I've enjoyed the TV dramatisation of these books & read to my absolute delight in this months sky magazine that there is 2 new feature length episodes screening on itv1 later this year.
[I'm tempted to draw out some manly examples from Sharpe but I'm so excited I'm off to watch one of the previous episodes]
