My copy of Francis Chan's book 'Crazy Love' arrived at the weekend, a book I've been looking forward to since I first heard he was writing it.
After reading the Foreword by Chris Tomlin I began on the Preface which begins with a quote:

"To just read the Bible, attend church, and avoid "big" sins-
is this passionate, whole hearted love for God?"
is this passionate, whole hearted love for God?"
- Francois Fenelon, The Seeking Heart
To be honest that is as far as I got so far, as that question hit hard, driving deep into my mind and beaming as a spotlight; searching my heart and motives.
I read my Bible, attend church (even teaching at it), and I avoid "big" sins as well as smaller ones.
But am I really Passionately, whole heartedly in love with God?
This question has been weighing heavy upon me since reading it, causing me to ask if I have, do or ever will feel this passionate, whole hearted love for God & for Jesus.
I know I long to actually have the greatest commandment active in my heart & life.

""To love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind." This is the first and greatest cammandment. And the second is like it: "Love your neighbour as yourself."
Matthew 22:37-40
Lets ponder this for a while; yes we may go to church, yes we may read our Bibles and avoid sin, but do these really show a life that is passionately and whole heartedly in love with Him? Or would that love overflow into these plus a whole lot more, as a reflection of that kind of love?
What would it feel like? What would it look like? What crazy things would that kind of love for God cause in us?
Are we really passionately & whole hearted in our Love for Him?
