The Return

3
Today I ended up on the Muller Machine in work, this is a machine I was on for a few years with Gary Bolton and the late Billy French. A machine that holds a central place in Every Home Crusade. And so I thought I'd take you through it.

This is a finshing machine, so the paper is printed and folded before it arrives to the muller, usually it comes from the web-press.

The different sections of the Gospel are placed in three seperate stacker feeders - Generally there are two sections of the main book plus a cover.
These place the sections and covers together.

Then a delivery system takes them through to be stapled (these are the rolls of wire that are at the back of the machine and become the stapels).

After being stapled the book is delivered to the three knife trimmer which trims the edges and cuts the sections into size.

After this the booklets are brought into the palamedes, a machine that stacks and straps them ready for boxing - here's Aaron taking the stacks of Gospels and boxing them.

In this fashion Every Home Crusade produces between 50 - 60,000 Gospels of John per day for the purposes of making known the fame and Gospel of Jesus Christ

Ahhhh Billy French!!! I worked with him for 4 years (1992-96) in the CEF print shop in Switzerland. I could tell you a few funny stories... but I tell you what, if the size of our heavenly 'mansion' is proportionate to our faithfulness in service on this earth... I wanna visit Billy's house!

I'd love to hear your funny stories about Billy, we could probably tell you a few Every Home Crusade ones. He was certianly a unique man, and one who was devoted to serving his Lord!
One of the songs he used to love singing while on the muller had the words; "dont do a half days work, and expect a full days pay". Unfortunately I think he done about three days work in an hour never mind a day!
He lived a simple lifestyle, served like mad and I bet he's lovin his time with the King right now!

Hows things going with you Gary?
