I was flicking through my diary/journal of 2004 and came across a scribble (most of the pages are scribble) that was a suggestion to help people in quiet times / Bible reading. I'm pretty sure it was a suggestion from my past pastor;
Basically it is 5 points to look for in each passage that is read;
1-Truths to discover
2-Commands to obey
3-Promises to calim
4-Warnings to heed
5-Examples to follow
I realize that it may not be possible to get all five of these in every portion of Scripture that is read, however as I read through them again I figured that they may be a good help in personal devotions / Quiet Times and in the reading of Scripture
