The Top 5 Messages from'08

3
Below is a list of what I would say are the top 5 messages that I listened to in 2008. Some of them are messages I've listened before but ones that remain a constant challenge to me each time I listen them.

1. Qualifications of a Church Planter - Mark Driscoll*

2. Bearing the Image - Thabiti Anyabwile

3. Christus Victor - Mark Driscoll

4. This Is He Who Baptizes with the Holy Spirit - John Piper

5. Preaching the Gospel from the Center of the Evangelical World - Matt Chandler

What Messages have you listened that helped, convicted, encouraged, blessed or thrilled you in 2208?

*This message is applicable to all men because Hebrews 13:7 tells us to imitate our Leaders & Elders. It is the watermark of Biblical Masculinity & calling for all guys to strive for.

With the amount of travelling I do ( 2,000 miles a month) I have a lot of time to listen to sermons. I don't have a top five - but I listened recently to Sinclair Ferguson on James and was really blessed by it. Alan Cairns has just recently done a series on Romans 8 and its well worth listening to. Also I have listened to quite a few of David Silversides' monthly fellowship meeting addresses where he deals with a lot of "Issues" that arise. I don't always agree with him but he always he makes his case well. I also listened to a series John Douglas did on Noah which was helpful and at the moment I'm listening to John MacArthur on 1 Timothy and its excellent.

He's a reformed presbyterian out at Loughbrickland. He is on sermonaudio.com. His style is dry but his material is usually good. Of course give him a miss on the psalms only nonsense.
