Top 5 Book Sales of Vic Ryn 2008

4
I asked my good friend Simon Thompson for a list of the top 5 theological (non-fiction) book sales of 2008 in Inspire Books.

1. Case for Christ- Lee Strobel

2. If My People- William Fleming

3. Strongholds Shaken- David Legge

4. Case for Faith- Lee Strobel

5. Why Revival Tarries- Leonard Ravenhill.

In all this seems a pretty encouraging list.
Though personally I can't really comment having only read one of these; 'Why Revival Tarries by Leonard Ravenhill' which is a very good book & one which I'm glad to see is still selling, which in itself shows a desire among the Church in N.Ireland for Revival.

I am surprised at the Lee Strobel book being Number 1.

The William Fleming one is a superb wee book

not read the others

i've read the two Lee Strobel ones - really good reads, particularly Case for Christ - especially with the current popularity for books in the da vinci code grain that want to discredit everything the Bible has to say about Jesus Christ!

The David Legge book is a great insight into cults and world religions, use together with his sermons it has a lot of knowledge on this subject.

As you know yourself Ally, book sales can sometimes be deceptive. The books listed are the highest quantity wise within a theology-revival spectrum. However, if one customer buys 6 for friends it appears to be more popular in general than it is. I appreciate your efforts Gary in highlihjting books on the blog. Hopefully this coming year will be one marked by appetite for study and the result of transformation.
