Tree & Moon at 18 months

0
Every evening that it's possible I go for a walk with Jacob. This does two things, gets us out of the house for a while & works off some of his endless energy before bed-time.

It's our custom to walk to the park, about 5mins away, where he runs around like a crazy fool laughing & screaming as he goes from one thing to the next. After this we walk home the longer way, about 20mins, but it is on this part of the evenings walk that we have had a very important conversation the past few nights.

He will periodically point at the moon and say "Uon" to which I respond "Good boy that's the moon, who made the moon...God made the moon." (Repeat this every 10-20 steps).

Then every time Jacob sees a tree he'll point & say "Tee, Tee" to which I reply "Great boy, that's a tree, who made the tree...God made the tree." (Repeat this for 3 out of 5 trees).

This happens with leaves, as he picks them off the ground & waves them like flags or touches them on the bushes & trees along the way, & with a couple of other things, but the moon & trees are the main ones each night.

Hence we have a fun, daddy-son bonding time that is educational & *somewhat Christ glorifying! Anyway, I simply wrote this upon reflecting about a joyous, daily event.

*I figure that its best to wait a while before talking about end times or election vs free will etc... an 18 month old doesn't seem that interested in these.
