Lay Down Your Fleece & Pick Up The Lamp

Gideon setting the fleece out was not setting an example of how to find our way, just as Samson was not an example of how to live a Godly life.

The example throughout the Bible is of men & women who have treasured the Word of God in their hearts; picked up this lamp unto their feet and carried it with them in faith and by the Spirit.

Not in some fortune cookie 'i've got a verse for that' kind of way, but in a way by which the Word so transforms their desires & motivations that they live Godly lives and just find themselves walking in the way the Lord leads.

Lay down our fleeces [for good] and pick up The Lamp . . .
